Yeah....surprised!...My family/friends emailed me their pixs of the snow there in Carolina....so far, none here in Florida. We got rain for 2 days,,now it's so cold, but actually looks like it's gonna snow!

Lots of snow! Are deadly wind chill factors. Plus there is ice everywhere except the eastern part of the state.

Yeah it is still cold here. When I walked out the chicken house this evening I stepped right into an ice patch and nearly busted my ass and would have straddled the door jam.

Wirelessly posted

No snow here if they mentioned my state probably mountain region.

U know what? Almost the same thing happened to me on Sat when I left one of the houses at my 2nd job to go to another house to start my evening shift. I almost slipped and fell on a patch of ice and I twisted my back from stopping myself so for the rest of the evening, my back was hurting a bit. GRRRR!

Should be 10 below zero tomorrow.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH....since moving to MD 11 years ago, the wind chills have never gotten that low. *knock on wood*

The lowest that I have experience was 0 degrees wind chills and I was coming home from a deaf social in DC with my hubby and his ex fiancee (before he and I were an item) and I remember my legs HURTING from the wind while walking to the Metro station. I couldnt believe it.

The wind chills here went down to -20 last month. Few days ago, we had wind chills of around -10 or so. Also, we had actual low temperature of -6 as well and then warmed up to 15 degrees in the day.

I always wear layers, including pants in this. Plus I tie a scarf over my face if outside for any time.

Frostbite is a danger in less than 10 minutes I believe.

I've done a similar number dozens of times before. I think it's part of why I have back spasms that nearly put me in bed. Once they were bad enough I just fell over and balled up in pain. Luckily I was at home that day and not at work or in public.
