Folks... the 2007/08 N.H.L. season will be over shortly in about 2 weeks with the playoffs to start on April 9th... the regular season is gonna be done with the berths up for grabs in both the Western Conference and Eastern Conference... only Detroit has clinched a berth already as the top seed in the Western C. so far....there are some good races for some lower berths, especially in both the Western and Eastern Conference.. ohh should be fun...

Once we know who is playing who for the first round, I will post info about that and the teams meetings in the playoffs history, etc... should be interesting!!

BTW my prediction is simple enough..the Anaheim Ducks wont repeat as Stanley Cup champs!! HAHAHA!!

:cool2:QUACK! QUACK!

Ocean.. patience... oy ya gonna be quacking up the wrong tree so to speak!!!!!

I'm hoping my sens pull it together, I'm pretty sure they will be in the playoffs tho:)

Montreal almost will clinch the Northeast Division and now has to hope Pittsburgh lose 2 games so that the number 1 seed in the Eastern Conference can go to Montreal for sure... that is a rare time as the last time Montreal was on top in both conference and division was 1993 the year the Habs won the last Stanley Cup... could this be the one?

Ottawa has to wake up and win and try to get to maybe 4th overall in the Eastern Conference and avoid slipping back and get a lower seed ....

Carolina and Washington gonna be battling to see who get the Southeast Division title and the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference but one of them will only get in.. so the other team wil be out of luck on this... I would think Washington might have an excellent chance!

Over at the Western Conference, Detroit already is number 1 seed and have won the Central Division again... and following that is San Jose in number 2 seed and Pacific Division champs... the 3rd seed as the Northwest Division champion is close to be going to the Minnesota Wild unless the Calgary Flames can wake up and chase Minny out and get the 3rd seed and etc... the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks are in dire straits and need to have Nashville slide back for one of the Canadian teams to get in... Edmonton might be close to be out with 2 games left.. Vancouver has 4 games and Nashville also have 4 games.. oh wow.... so we have 1 week left to see what happens and the playoff picture will clear up for sure net Sunday (April 6th) which is the last day of the NHL season.....

I would like to see one of Canadian teams to win The Cup this year.

Of course, I would love to see my Bruins to make into the playoff this year and I still having Celtics, Red Sox, and my kids after Bruins fail.

My Cup pick : Pittsburgh vs Detriot and Red Wings win The Cup.

I hope that Anaheim wins...QUACK QUACK! GOOOOOOOO DUUUUCCCCKS!

:h5: Yeah!! QUACK! QUACK!

Max, don't tell that to NS about the Red Wings winning The Cup :giggle:

I will say this.. .te Detroit Red Wings can go croak in the playoffs.... and I hope they do in the first round!! HAHAHA...

As for Pittsburgh for the Cup?? that would be great for sure...will see how the Penguins do in the playoffs this year....

AND I also do hope the Ducks get feathers in their mouths when they try to quack but cant since they gonna get booted by Dallas in the first round!! (tat ought to rile Ocean up good enough since her Ducks are all set to have their asses up in the sky for her soon enough..hehehe)

Pens and Red Wings got solid goalies that why I picked them to get into The Cup.

In fact, my past NHL playoff predications usually be busted...as we would knows how tough playoff of NHL than any pro "team" sports.

Ah, my Bruins are not out of playoff....oh boy, they could face either Penguins or Habs in first round...I take Habs due long time rivals. I would want to see Bruins do more defense trap aka 90's NJ Devils due they are not best offense team. Oh geez, many best offense teams out from Eastern Confernce : 7 teams of NHL's top 10 scoring = no chance for Bruins! Oh oh whew, I got Celtics! hee hee
