I'm just sitting here saying "Bongus" in different, made-up accents.
Hope they don't hurt anyone and they they are safely caught!
It's okay, you would have to ask an admin. I meant nothing rude by that comment, it just sounded funny!Oh , I did not see that and I do not knowhow to correct it .

I've corrected my titles in the past by using the Edit button in the first post.I did not think you where being rude. I am sure it does sound funny. It's just that I tried to be careful and checked my spelling . Maybe an admin. will correct it for me. I wish we could do it ourselves .
Hard core criminals will always be criminal, hard core outlaws will always be outlaws. Once they get in prison with too much time sitting and do nothing. What they are doing exactly? One thing... figure out how to beat the system and be better outlaws.
I wish they would have labor camp or boot camp to prevent crooks from thinking how to beat the system. Once they get into boot camp or labor camp, they will think how NOT to go back to prison.
This isn't the first time, and much likely won't be the last one.
The two escapees are murderers, so I don't think boot or labor camp would make a difference to them. They would still want to escape and resist going back.Hard core criminals will always be criminal, hard core outlaws will always be outlaws. The two guys in this thread are murderers.Hmmm. Are you aware that most of our prisoners are there because of drug offenses? "Hard core" prisoners are relatively scarce.
That's a scary situation for the victims' families and anyone who crosses the paths of the escapees.![]()

How exactly could they be forced to work all day without delving into "cruel and unusual" tactics? They might be encouraged to work all day by making it an attractive alternative to sitting in a cell all day but I doubt lifers could be forced to work.exactly, they are murders and got nothing to lose. When they sit and do nothing for hours and hours do nothing, exactly what they are doing? 16 hours of thoughts and observation. Their thoughts were mostly "How to get out of this joint?".
If they were forced to work all day, with minimal break and rest. Would they have the energy and time to think and observe how the system works in order to escape? They will be very likely too exhausted to try to escape.
Since they were lifers I doubt they would have the opportunity to repeat their crimes unless they did escape. The problem with most prisoner is too much time available for their mentally. That was the original intention of prison system, to give them tons of time to think of their crime and not to repeat the crime, the actual effect is opposite.
These guys obviously had help with their escape plans.Whats more, with so much time available for them to learn and figure out how to beat the system. When one would lock up for good with nothing to lose, they are likely going to meet many many prisoners that got in and out constantly, they would spend quality time chatting with them and ask how did they (legal system) process, how did they come in, how did they get out, learn from there and figure out how to break or cheat the system. With labor or boot camp, that opportunities would be easily taken away and when they are done with working hard during the day, they will be too exhaust to even think about escaping and try to figure out how to escape.
Brazen escapes like this requires a lot of planning involved and phishing some of inside and outside information, this includes requirement of plenty free time to think and figure out. Today prison, this is too perfect opportunities for them.

You are right that thinking about one's crimes doesn't always result in a repentant change of heart. Some killers continue to plot killings (especially for revenge) in their minds, and some (such as serial killers) enjoy mentally reliving their crimes.
Again, how do you force lifers to work to the point of exhaustion?
