WDAM.com Laurel-Hattiesburg, MS The Pinebelt's Choice For News, Sports and Weather | 2 employees on leave at Louisiana School for Deaf
An investigation into allegations of inappropriate contact has led to a teacher and supervisor at the Louisiana School for the Deaf being placed on leave.
State Superintendent of Education Paul Pastorek says the alleged incidents were reported earlier this month by students during a group discussion with peers and a member of the school's staff.
The identities of the teacher and supervisor are being withheld. Pastorek says both are on paid leave pending further investigation.
The school was briefly closed last year and security revamped after accusations of rape and sexual misconduct.
The school reopened in November.
