I'm just thankful that Illinois is not on the list. I wonder how people in Top 10 states survive.

Preparation and heed the warnings. Today is the 1st day of Hurricane season. Each year I stock my Hurricane rubbermaid tubs.

There were just probable tornadoes in the St. Louis, Missouri area on both sides of the Mississippi River (in Missouri & Southern Illinois) last night. I am a bit south east of where the worst of these were and we still have rain this morning and flash flood warnings in the general area.

We're used to the danger in Texas.

I just googled this. Texas is not a midwestern state. Neither is Oklahoma or Arkansas. Thanks for making me feel silly for no reason.

I disagree with Texas being south- it may be classified as a southern state, but methinks it's just Texas. Not saying I'm right, but this is always how I've seen it, because we're not traditional southern or Western.
