    Gun control

You claimed that a truck isn't as dangerous as a gun (you know, because they don't go down the road at 2500 ft per second ) and then gave an example of a motorist plowing into a crowd and killing nearly a hundred people. Fifty eight is the pinnacle for lives lost in a US mass shooting. I think...

    Gun control

So basically you're admitting that you were wrong and then splitting hairs about injuries and the number of people in the crowd.

    Gun control

That guy wasn't plowing into a confined crowd of 20,000. A moving vehicle, as is, has enormous destructive potential. Cars and trucks don't kill in the same manner bullets do. The bubonic plague didn't spread at 2500 feet per second, either, but that doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous; it once...

    Gun control

    1. Affirmative 2. Affirmative 3. Negative, but that's what rich people think. 4. Affirmative. Make no mistake about it, this has nothing to do with reducing violent crime; they just don't want you to be able to defend yourself. When guns are banned, so are knives and non-lethal weapons. New...

    Gun control

Perhaps if more of your posts weren't so nonsensical, people would take them a little more seriously. A good example: "When they can start moving 2,500 feet per second!" One can argue with 2+2=5. One cannot argue with 2+2=orange.

What's Your Dinner Tonight -- Part II

Pasta with marinara from the jar (Newman's Own is good), with Parmesan cheese. Carrots.

    New here, recent hearing loss

Do you have a Sam's or Costco membership? Last I heard, you could get a free hearing test at either one of them, although that might not be the case now.

I just clicked it. It opened. Are you telling the truth? Here's a more recent story: https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/new-york-city-hospital-mass-shooting-1-victim-killed-and-6-wounded-980861507776

    New here, recent hearing loss

Good afternoon. It sounds like you suffered an attack of sudden hearing loss. It might have been a single episode, but then again, it could have been caused by an ongoing condition like Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease or Meniere's. If your current doctor denies that you have a problem, go find an...

    Gun control

My point was that I think their gun laws are far too restrictive.

    Gun control

I would be amenable to restrictions on military style semi-automatics, although you and I would probably disagree on a lot of the details. Remember that I said I'm a de facto absolutist due to the fact that liberal gun control legislation is always a sweeping attack on gun ownership at all...

    Gun control

I don't hunt. I own a small number of guns for self-defense, and I have no interest in juvenile aftermarket accessories like bump stocks. New York State is very restrictive when it comes to handguns, and the less said about NYC the better. One must obtain a license to buy one, and the approval...

Your statement doesn't refute one thing I wrote.

    Gun control

Gun control advocates really ought to stick to what they know. There's a lot of incorrect information in this thread.

    Gun control

"AR15" was the original name of the rifle. The military adopted the AR15 and designated it the M16.

    Gun control

The Founding Fathers would have thought an AR15 is rad AF. Do you honestly think that guys who were willing to kill or be killed in a duel would have been concerned about civilians owning semi-auto assault rifles in 2017? That's how Alexander Hamilton met his fate. Can you imagine Alan Greenspan...

I keep hearing this "common sense" stuff. Come out and tell us what you think the gun laws should be. Get specific.

    Gun control

"You can have the handguns, shotguns and a regular rifles, nobody will take them away." LOL. I wonder what the residents of New York City (or state, for that matter) would think of that gem.

    Gun control

In my opinion, the bigger threat would be establishment-orchestrated political violence. Some vigilantes come to your house, burn it down with you in it, and then escape punishment as the police throw their hands up and claim they can't find the perps.
