question for Deaf people in NY/PA areas

I just started ASL 102 and we're learning about lex signs and I think they're pretty awesome and really convenient. What I am wondering is if anyone could tell me if there's a lex sign for the Wegman's grocery store?

i'm in ASL 1 right now and consider myself lucky to have a Deaf professor. our class is "voices off" and i think i'm learning much more (and faster) that way, because i can't fall back on speaking to ask questions if i'm unsure about something. i find that i'm learning even more new signs and my...

that's true, and thank you for pointing that out to me. the only thing i can suggest is to try and find someone else who is willing to make the effort to communicate with you in a situation where you have to interact. i promise, not all hearing people are jerks :-)

    I'm Sorry

i'm hearing and i agree completely. if someone doesn't try to meet your communication needs, then they are not worth communicating with.

    Hearing Ignorance of Deaf Culture

that's funny (weird funny, not haha funny) because one of the first things we learned about in my ASL 101 class was that the Deaf are statistically better drivers than the hearing. *smh* women like that make me understand more why some Deaf people have negative feelings about the hearing.
