    Thanks, Posts from Hell. A reply from a medical person would be ideal, but as you say there are plenty of people on these boards with experience of their own who might know (and indeed I thought that one of the purposes of these boards was to share experiences).

    No, not fluied. The Dr says that the tubes may have collapsed, and that may be casuing the deafness. But he hasnt asked for any investigation to estgablish if that is the case, just given me a hearing aid that isnt doing much good. And my question is whether a scan would be able to show that.

    My Doctor told me that he thinks my deafness could be caused by my Eustachian tubes collapsing, but he didnt send me for any scans or tests to see if they had collapsed. Can anyone tell me whether a MRI or Scan of some sort would show this? Are MRIs any use for identifying hearing problems...
