Yeah, never bad to teach a child a second language- in fact, it helps! I grew up with a speech impediment unrelated to hearing loss, and I took years and years of speech therapy. My mom started teaching me ASL when I was younger because she took classes, all pre-hearing loss :D

I have an old iPod nano, which I can hear when it decides to work :D lso, if you use ci's or h-aids, you can plug it in. I don't know if I'll beusing the iPod function on it much, though.

I'm not sure exactly how I got mine, but I would reccomend going through the school. I had a loner for a while, then somehow I was given my own. (Mind you, this was a box FM, pre hearing aids. Then I got hearing aids, and an FM, and we donated my old box FM for back up.

I have to say, I'm glad I'm not the only one experience the new work messed up sleep/eating schedule. I continually seem to miss either lunch or dinner (not that much is done for either) and I sleep through breakfast. i woke up about an hr ago (2 pm)!
