Yeah I knew that, its just cause Japanese ppl are really supersticious (sp). Maybe ppl in other countries would be afraid if the way you said "four" was the same as "death"? :dunno:

:roll: Miss P., Find me a hotel with 666 rooms, and I would have no problem staying in it. :D This reminds me of Japan, where the unlucky number is 4, because the way you say 4 is "shi", the same way you say "death". 99% of hotels and hospitals, and other buildings have no room number 4...

That would even be 100 times worse than calling a deafie "hearing impaired"... I would almost consider deaf and dumb a slur, because it would be highly offensive, just like racial slurs.

Im hearing, my first language was English, but I also know Japanese and ASL. When I am with my hearing friends i will speak English, or Japanese, depending on who I am talking to of couse. ;) When I am with my Deaf friends I will sign, and if I am with my Deaf and hearing friends, or at work...

Wow, you still have a hangover from saturday?? Its really odd, if I drink a SMALL amount of alcohol, I will get a hangover... But, if I get trashed, the next day I will wake up after 3 or 4 hours of sleep and feel oddly refreshed.. :dunno:

Umm... considering most of the people here are dhh, it would make sense that you are the only one, or one of the few with war experience. (Other hearies maybe) Duh.... if you are dhh, your hearing is not good enough to join the military.. Also, must you be so graphic??

I dont think that an Indian that helped them spoke English... that was wayyy back in the day and the Indians there had probably never even seen the white man.... But i could be wrong..
