AUDISM IS FOR HEARING - DUTs IS FOR DEAF Since I am a newcomer to AD, I noticed discussions about audism. It is my favorite topic for many years. I believe that audism only applies to hearing people....and DUT is for Deaf - Deaf Uncle Tom... a deaf person who does not accept deaf culture...

Next time do it as you only have 180 days... Normally you can file complaint with the State of Florida, but it has to be under 180 days....so next time it happens, please do it right away. I rented scooter at Daytona Beach years ago when I was there for Spring Break. Not a problem...

Try these groups? Have you tried contacting Lion's Club or Sertoma to help you get one? and even check with your state vocational rehabilitation to see if you can get one from the state? There are few options that may help. Good luck! :)
