What did you do in the medical field? Can I get a receptionist type job with a Deaf Studies degree/certificate? Or should I go for interpreting?

Yes, its important to me to have a nearby deaf community. Anybody know what the DC is like in Portland or Seattle? Where-ever I get my training is where I would like to live, and CA isnt a place I would want to live.

... I dont know any interpretors, and the teacher I had for my ASL class got her training just by being in the Deaf Community. So, Im not so much worried about the BEST school...just what to look for in a program-so I know its a good program? That it will let me reach my goals in life.
