well it was your first go at it and i think you probably did fine ^_^ the more practice you have with asl and signing to him, the more comfortable you will become with the whole thing!! :D

for me, it's not really fluctuation. it doesn't happen all the time, just randomly every once in a while. like maybe 1-3 times a month at most. pain isn't associated with it. i was thinking it was tinnitus, because of the ringing, but does that include the "going deaf in the ear" thing? i...

personally i think i would want common sense and lack book smarts.... that way i can always learn to be "book smart" by studying. you can't learn common sense! lol

yea, it's a bit irritating. my left ear just randomly goes deaf. all i hear is louder ringing.it lasts a few minutes and then my hearing comes back and the volume of the ringing goes down... i don't see my primary care doctor and audie until mid-december, so i won't find out until then :(

you can learn asl by going to • ASL • American Sign Language they have videos, dictionaries, courses, etc... many people on AD use it to teach themselves (including me :D) good luck!

:wave: Welcome! I don't think 3 languages for a baby is too much. They pick up the stuff so easily when their young... A friend of mine is actually teaching his twins Taiwanese, Mandarin, English, and he's thinking about adding a few other languages to the mix. :D
