i dressed up as rogue (from x-men) last year, and got a good response ;-P....i'm seriously thinking about doing that this year too. only this year, i'll actually put temporary blonde dye in my hair (i used these clip-in hair extension things from hot topic last year...damn things wouldn't stay...

there's nothing wrong with skype...i've used it with another deaf friend countless times. but this other deaf friend only has a vp...he isn't able to afford a computer with a webcam, or a webcam that plugs into the computer. :-/

does xmeeting use interpreters, or is is regular video-chatting? edit: i downloaded xmeeting, but when i tested the video, it was as if a mac photobooth effect was on...the video was stretched...any ideas why? any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

hmm...i got through to my deaf friend on skype, but a. my video wouldn't work and b. it used an interpreter...

i totally forgot about skype! can it connect to videophones?

i sign. not fluently, but i can carry on a conversation fairly well

wow, thought this thread was dead! haha update: my college just hired a new dean of performing arts (our old dean retired over the summer), and this new guy is fluent in sign language (he's hearing)! i asked him if he would be interested in helping me set up a sign language club on campus...

i can use oovoo/im for 1 of my deaf friends because she has a computer w/ a webcam, but my other deaf friend doesn't have a laptop, and he goes to boarding school...i think he only has vp... :(

i downloaded hovrswidget, but i haven't gotten a chance to make sure it works (i've been so busy with college! haha). but how do i make the option to not use an interpreter? any of the people listed above (nathan, chevy57, jclarke, wiley): help? haha

i'm already doing double-spacing, but my professor is very strict about font size. it HAS to be times new roman, size 12. AND it's for a composition class (so it's focusing on writing)...if it was for a class in a different subject, there might be some wiggle room...
