http://www.alldeaf.com/deaf-education/75411-mainstream-v-special-school.html Spinning off my son's info from the other thread. Thanks, deafdyke for your feedback. Anakin, it was nice to hear about your education experience. We are in Phoenix, AZ. We have a few choices here. We're...

    earmold costs

I don't begrudge the companies the cost of making the earmolds. I am mad at the insurance companies for not covering more. My company is self-insured, so I really need to hound our HR department about how bad the hearing coverage is. Well, they do offer "Hear PO." Has anyone used this...

    Mainstream V Special School

I like the idea of the split day between schools. I don't know what will be best for my DS. He is hoh; about 80% loss in left and 20% in right. He wears 2 HAs. I'd have to dig for an audiogram for details. He is at a special needs preschool 3 hr/4days right now and typical daycare the rest of...

Do you think parents should have the right to tattoo their kids?

Agreed. A friend told me about a boy in her 2nd grader's class who has a cross big enough to cover one cheek of his face.

    earmold costs

I'm in Phoenix, AZ. What makes me mad is my insurance is great for everything except the HAs and ear molds for my son.

My DS (4) says I have on an HA just like him when I wear a BlueTooth.

    earmold costs

That's what I pay for DS's & he used to outgrow them in a couple weeks. Now, he can go about 6 months in between so I have to pay each time. And my sucky insurance only covers $500 every three years. Might as well not have any coverage.
