Hiya, I wouldn't know which uni is the best for deaf students in the UK, but there is a book called the Disabled Students' Guide to University which may be of some help. The book looks at each uni and sees what support they provide for disabled students. Heres the link to it...The Disabled...

My uni room is big for a single, it's been designed for wheelchair users, so odviously have a lot of space. It also has flashing doorbell and fire alarm light for deaf people. (Im in a mainstream uni) I have a wardrope, desk, bed, sink, some shelving, two chairs and a little set of drawers...

I can't remember how long it took me to learn BSL, it took me a while cos I wasnt able to practice it. I think it varies on different people how long it takes them to learn SL. I learnt ASL fingerspelling about a month ago, now I know all the letters, apart from P and Q (they both look similer)...

Hehe I am deaf! I want to work with deaf people though, and be more involved in the deaf community. I've basically been brought up in the hearing world, so I've not been able to learn any sign language until now
