I have to side with those who thing a large % of "ASL" interpretations on free media outlets by "signers" are worthless and meaningless. I appreciate the very few who use true ASL, but the sheer amount of nonsense is sometimes overwhelming. Especially the kids who do it for class and end up...

The pledge is all kinds of absurd, even though they recently removed that dumb slavery wording it's still an unrealistic and telling move. It basically is a statement like: "I know I'll never win the nomination after this stunt, but the one who does needs to see that some people support ideas...

I tried a vegetarian, then vegan, diet for about a year. I currently eat anything but I love cooking with the ingredients I used to when I was. My partner and I are debating going veg and may do so in time, not sure though.

I'm so sorry about this. What sucks is that the two problems feed eachother...if we continue to treat sensory loss as a horrible terrible deficiency that is to be fought at all costs, we'll never get to the point where accessibility and inclusion will fully allow all people to thrive...

Most of the controversy I've found out about has been about parents forcing their kids to have the procedure done, or doctors recommending it without telling parents enough about what the actual extent is to any assistance it will or will not provide. I am intrigued though, and can't wait to...

Yes as well, I am just a learner in this community and don't begin to think that I know better for the community than any of its members. Humanity is humanity, we all face some of the same issues and should definitely talk about them. Heated or not, the worst thing is NOT talking about them.

If you like the ASL interpreters: kmklined, ewitteborg and tiffanythill are great to watch on youtube. I like their interpretations a lot because they help me see someone who is really creative in their approach to sign. Hope that helps.
