President Jimmy Carter was hard for me to lip read. Sometimes Clint Eastwood...it's always hard to lip read a jaw clencher like him. James Earl Jones is wonderful to hear and lip read. As was Lorne Green.

Yeah, it helps to talk to familiar people with whom you already know how their speech patterns are. But there are still some women, a couple of employees, who have their voices in JUST the wrong pitch that I can't understand them worth a sh1t. Talking on the phone with a hoh like me...sometimes...

I agree with you. I didn't say intelligence level, I said education level. And a lazy speech habit does not denote a lazy person. All I mean by that is it's just the "easy way out" of saying things certain ways, sometimes.
