I do favor XP for laptop / work PC... However, Vista does much better job for video compared to XP.. It does take some used to.. Just like getting used to Windows 95 from Windows 3.1 or Windows NT.

A tip for you: Don't buy Dell from "Home" sales.. Buy it from Dell "Business" sales, they may be a little expensive but tech support are better and use AMERICANS, not from India. I have used Dell business supports twice for hardware support, they are great.
