Oh, he's doing MUCH better. He had the surgery in October of 2012...be a year Oct. 17. Still having a few memory issues...but he's doing great!

That is/was the plan. There is a college here in the town I live in...Morehead State University...but don't know if they deal with deafies very well, or at all. But, it is the only school I could actually attend around where I live...except maybe vo-tech...but not interested in any of those...

You and me both dude! But, up here in Ky. was the only hospital we could find a really exceelent brain surgeon/hospital for my hubby who needed to have brain aneurysms fixed before they killed him. No hospital down there would take Medicare. So, here we are. Better to deal with the cold than...

Well, I'm Bi if that helps. LOL But, yeah, the whole discrimination thing just because someone is deaf, or blind, in a wheelchair or whatever is just so stupid.

Thanks for the input guys. Frankly, I would rather NOT do the SSI thing...would rather just go back to school and get me a GOOD job. Is there any options for financial aid that is specific for Deaf folks?
