Good afternoon my friends! :wave: I have a quiz tonight in my ASL class, and I'm not quite sure what a few signs are. So far I've forgotten "stove", "broken heart" and "yawn" I'm registered at handspeak.com, but they don't have those words either! Sooo if someone wants to help me out...

I just wanted to share my joy: I've lost 10 pounds in the month I've been home!!! :D I'm fairly certain it's because I've changed my eating habits a lot. But I was really excited :)

i've known fingerspelling since I was about 9, and I just kept at it. If I remember right it took me about 3-4 weeks. I'm taking an ASL class now, and i'm very much so eager to learn all the signs. Our prof is hearing, but she's got a degree from Gallaudet and she has brought in 2 of her deaf...

Who is deaf hard of hearing CODA hearing . . . just here? have a deaf family member ?? I'm just curious. I'm personally hearing, and extremely fascinated by the deaf culture. :)

Hey everyone :) Just wondering if there are any deaf events going on in DC or Northern Virginia. I know there are silent suppers, but I was wanting to go to something a bit different. Has anyone ever seen Big River's "Huck Finn"? It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. :applause:

Dasani and Aquafina now have flavored waters you can buy. The raspberry's pretty good once you get past the intial *whoa!*, and I've not had the other flavors. But those may help if you hate water a lot. Or you can get flavored, sparkling water from wal-mart. my mum used to drink those a lot...
