    Root Canal

I want my tooth back :( Stupid ineffectiveness of the root canal because my incompetent dentist didn't operate on the tooth 3 years ago.

    I "need" hearing aids

I went and had my hearing checked the other day. Turns out I have 50% hearing loss in my left ear and 20% in my right! Basically, the lady I spoke to said I need hearing aids. It wouldn't bother me if there wasn't such a long waiting time on them and getting them privately in this country...

    Root Canal

I had the option of having a root canal for a tooth my dentist said wouldn't be healed by it. He pulled it out instead, because he said there's no point in giving me one. So, why'd offer me the choice when I can only choose to have had it removed? :D

Eugenics in this modern day and age

It'll end up where one who isn't 'perfect' is eliminated. Albinos will be eliminated because they have bad eyes, etc. If they aren't eliminated, I can damn well bet it'll be forced sterilization. The government are not God, and they never will be to me, hard as they try to make themselves...

    Deaf culture - do's and don'ts, etc. Let's make a list!

Now now people. If you want to argue take it to PM's. :D

    Deaf culture - do's and don'ts, etc. Let's make a list!

Here's a dont, I think, or am I the only one who gets pee'd off when people find out that there are multiple different sign languages and then, looking horrified, say "There should just be one, they don't need all the different ones. It's stoopid"?

    Amazing fluency there. :D

    American Sign Language: learning

Forgot to add, reason I don't want to live in England or the UK is because it's basically a police state. Dodgy laws, legalism, you're looked down on if you're a Christian, the police are horrible, and people seem to go around stabbing each other a lot more nowadays. I fear for my daughter and...

    American Sign Language: learning

I don't live in London, I live in a rather small city of about 260,000 people. I don't like big crowds of people. My brother lives in Wisconsin, and I'd love to live somewhere like that. He lives in like, the pretty rural parts I think. I loved it in Wisconsin, but when I went there at the...

    ASL, SEE, PSE, etc.

OH, I think you're right. YOUR teacher didn't have much of an idea how sign works. OR at least that's what it appears to be. :)

Haha. :D I actually tried to see if I could pull up a website on 'Learn SEE, the basics'. Guess what? I couldn't find one. :D

    Sign language and grammar

Simple way to explain it, maybe? SEE: It's still English, but signed English and is designed to be as English as possible. "I am go-ing to the store"? PSE: English-Sign hybrid. Uses the signs from Sign, but more English-like grammar. "I go store"? A/B/XSL: Has its own grammar completely...

    ASL, SEE, PSE, etc.

SEE sounds good on paper and like it has the right intentions, but it doesn't take much of a genius to work out it just doesn't work well in theory.

    "One seventy nine, please."

:D I know. She apparently knew Sign language, AND she knew he was deaf. But we still had to go through all that for some mince beef.

    ASL, SEE, PSE, etc.

Hello guys. I hear a lot on the infamous SEE. I don't know much about it at all. I thought it was like, a version of English completely fingerspelled. What is it about the "ly", "ed", etcetera things that I've heard on here in reference to SEE? Is it possible to get these questions...

    Sign language and grammar

Technically, Latin is still evolving. There's some academics who have invented words for things that the Romans wouldn't have known, for example, pizza, car (autocineticum) and garage (autocineticum stabulum). Why people are giving these Latin names is beyond me. Maybe there's a secret plot...

    SignWriting

Well, I wouldn't go that far! It is VERY difficult, but I think once you learn all the shapes, arrows and everything, it can be very easy! I can write my name in SignWriting (only with the ASL alphabet though). It doesn't seem as hard as it looks. :)
