I appreciate ALL of your feedback and stories. The latest with me is I had to get a CAT scan on the left side and blood work. Was anyone required blood work prior to the CI? What was it for? My guess would be amount of calcium in the bones.

Isn't it best when meeting someone new that the person ask you a question and observe how you understand and how you reply back? By this way, if you are a lipreader then you would understand the question. If you speak orally then you would answer, if you sign only, then your answer would be in...

Hear Again, Thanks for sharing this. I'm taking one drug from this list. I had no idea but .. my tinnetus has been ongoing many years prior before taking this medication. How can anyone take an asprin a day for heart attack prevention? Also, doesn't asprin give stomach aches? I can not...

This is wonderful news! This is music to my ears! I'm just scared, nervous and worried all together about which ear. This morning I had contacted the Long Island Hearing and Speech to get my records from 1960 -1965 if it were possible. I would love to compare my old hearing test to now...

Hear Again, You have been so kind and helpful in answering to my questions. One more ... if the CI is in my right ear, would this have any affect on the left ear tennitus? Does it matter which ear has the ringing after the CI?

1 more QQ Would you say both of your ears/hearing is identical in sound? My right hearing is louder (same loss as left) more senstive and not clear. Do any of you have this? If my right hearing is not clear, would the CI make sounds more clear for me? I am so nervous and worried...

I watched almost the whole thing, had to turn away for a few minutes. There was no CC for me. It must be something with my computer? I missed what the two doctors were talking about. :-(
