Deafhood is a cool term, that gives great perspectives. Never read the book of Dr. Ladd, but will have to do because it have created so much stir. I wonder if the term deafhood is more loaded to those who grew up mainstreamed, with most of them either accept the term totally or reject it. If...

Do we need a term for people who becomes part of the deafhood by entering it and refusing it? Some suggestions: "The Deafhood Paradox", "Stranded in deafhood", "Deafhood anomy", "Prisoners of deafhood".

Not necessary. I feel sorry for screwed kids in oral/mainstream schools. Giving birth to a human beeing, and then focus on his/her weakness is so tragic. It's almost abusive. What do we call that, a fact or an opinion?
