    Gallaudet Story

I have to sign the Gallaudet and Clerc story for my ASL 1 class. We have a DVD with videos and the story is on there and we have to video ourselves signing it. The guy signs kinda fast and it's a little difficult because some of the signs are new. Can anyone help with this in any way? My video...

Do you mean only deaf in one ear? Well technically hard of hearing. I can still hear, just very little. If people talk loudly from my left side, I can hear. Or if I'm looking at them because I can rely on my right ear. Sent from my SM-G900V using AllDeaf App mobile app

I thought you had to be Deaf to go to Galludet? I could think about it for my graduate degree but I'm pretty much committed to a college right now and I don't think I know enough sign to survive there. I'd go crazy trying to keep up. Sent from my SM-G900V using AllDeaf App mobile app

    Students Looking for ASL buddies

    Frustrated

I have hearing loss in just my left ear as a result of a surgery when I was 7 (I'm 18 now) to remove a tumor. But I've lost more since then. It's really not important to me how much hearing I've lost. I just know it's most of it on my left side and I can't make out words when you're on my left...

    Frustrated

I haven't been on here in a while and I feel bad. I want to make more friends on here, so I'm going to try and go on more. I've just been really busy with school and track and church. Anywho. Lately, I've been quite frustrated. I have about 60 or 70% hearing loss in my left ear. (Not sure. My...

    Getting hearing aids

I have hearing loss in my left ear and it's lately been causing more and more issues functioning in the hearing world. I have considered hearing aids but I always thought they'd be a pain and cause ear pain because of my genetic disorder (which makes my nerves more sensitive and has caused...

    Nervous About First Deaf Event

I have anxiety when it comes to social situations and people I don't know. School, I'm fine. Youth group, I'm fine. New thing? I get really shakey and don't talk unless people talk to me first. So I'm mostly nervous about meeting new people. I would hope that someone comes to talk to me first...

    New Hearing Person

No, I don't wear a hearing aid. They'refused so expensive and I've always done done with my right ear. Just annoying to constantly explain that I talk loud because of my hearing loss and you can't whisper in my left ear because it'll just sound like "Psh psh psh". I've always been interested in...

    New Hearing Person

Hi, I'm Bethany. I am learning ASL this year. I am hearing but I only have 30 or 40% (not really hearing) in my left ear. I really want to get to know some people in the community so I can stay connected after the school year.
