That's awesome! We use the Signing Time DVDs with our students and the kids love them...

I wanted to be an interpreter because I think ASL is beautiful language and I think everyone should have the right to access all information... was working towards it, then had my son, who was very preemie and has health issues/ physical disabilities...so going to school for Interpreter program...

I am a 2 hour ferry trip and about 3 hours of driving away from Vancouver! All the Deafblind people I know are kids....

Is this Skype thing happening? Any particular time/ day? I would love to practice with someone... my receptive has gotten worse since I work mostly with kids who are Deafblind, so I do most of the signing, and it's turned into a bit of a mix between ASL and signed English... not quite either...

new here...but jumping in anyhow...:D This guy you're talking about it an ass. I took my ASL at Douglas College (BC) and all my instructors were Deaf. Thank GOD!!! I learned so much more by being immersed in the language than I would have had I been able to rely on my hearing!!! I HAD to learn...
