    Abortion argument leads to murder

Yes, I agree with you there. I was almost killed once. I argued with someone because I didn't like the way she was treating her dog. They also didn't believe I was deafblind. If I had been murdered then I would have wanted people to know about these details. It would be wrong not to...

    Abortion argument leads to murder

Which is what you are doing right now. If I got pregnant and then murdered when I refused to abort the baby I would want the whole world to know about that. Whatever the reason for a murder, that is part of it and to deny that part and pretend it's not there is definately minimising the death.

    Abortion argument leads to murder

I didn't change the title. The title is because the woman was murdered after she refused to abort the baby so that should be told about. Nobody says the reasons for a murder are irevelant if it was for any other reason, so why should it be any differant this time. Or do you simply not want...

    Keeton won't hear of it

Shel: There are a number of threads on contact sports and CI. I did some research on that for the book I'm writing. I even wrote to a few CI firms. They say these things can be done at extra risk, and as they like to minimise risks as much as possible, they don't rescomend contact sports...

    letter to family

If you don't drink, smoke, go for meals out, use taxi's, and stick to cheap food, you would be surprised how much you can save up. Reading and walking are free. computer expenses aren't that pricy either unless you need braille. Zoom just costs 300 pounds. Besides I'm used to a saving...

    Abortion argument leads to murder

I don't think Abortion is 'taking the easy way out for the girl' only thier parents/boyfriend or whoever else pushes her into having one. It still doesn't make it right though. As for where I put it, I meant it to go in the news section. Could the moderators please move it if it's in...

    Abortion argument leads to murder

It's very sad when that happens. I know a deafblind woman who got pregnant. The father wanted her to abort but luckily she didn't. The girl is now doing really well. She's planning to go into vetinary science.

    MSD opens state-of-the-art elementary school

I'm glad such schools exist. I think intergration is good for physically disabled kids. I don't know about people with learning difficulties though. With learning difficulties I've found it's usually the parents promote it since it makes their children seem more 'normal' but I don't think it...

    letter to family

Jilli: There are devices available to help people communicate but they are not always made readily available. Hence I've been off the phone since I was unable to use a large print Minicom. I'd have been off the computer too if I hadn't bought myself a braille display. So your assumsion...

    letter to family

Not neccessarily. I have problems communicating with people who don't do deafblind manual. Doesn't mean I'm thick. A person could have become paralised without speech but still be able to think, only the relatives don't know how to get through.

    Manualism vs. Oralism Research

I was born HOH so I experienced the oral approach. Oral only does more damage then good in my view. I think all deaf people should be exposed to sign language, and speech therapy if they want it but it shouldn't be done instead of signing and it shouldn't be done excessively.
