    Palin's EPIC FAIL!

What kind of files do they use? A lot of e books are in pdf format but that's no good to me since it doesn't work with a braille display.

    letter to family

I am very well informed on this matter. I don't believe literature from anyone who promotes death.

    Alternatives to Animal testing.

They still aren't informed about the risks. Do you think that parents would send their blind kids to china for stem cell treatment if they believed there was a risk? but these kids are being experimented on. Plus their was a thread here on All deaf asking about kids for trials on stem cells...

    Palin's EPIC FAIL!

I know I've been going a little off topic in the other thread but it really bothers me when people keep going on about Sarah Palin's animal rights record. So I had to put them straight on that issue. Yes it is isn't it. She certainly has her fans. Pity her book isn't in braille.

    Alternatives to Animal testing.

No actuallly, I thought deafsceptic just wanted links but when I reread his post I realised he also wanted me to list other methods too so that's why I hadn't edited it. I've only just noticed either of your posts. I never mentioned human testing since as you've already pointed out they...

    Alternatives to Animal testing.

Animal testing has been around before then. It's been round for over 100 years and has been condemned for that length of time too. Try reading "Heart and Science" by Wilkie collins. That was writen 120 years ago. Besides, how do you know that they have stopped testing on disabled...

Computer based modelling is a lot more advanced then animal testing. You will find more in this thread. I created it last january the last time I was being attacked on this issue. http://www.alldeaf.com/topic-debates/59097-alternatives-animal-testing.html Please direct all further...

The freedom of mice, rats, primates, and other animals is enterly dependant on a cure for Alzimers. While they mess about with monkeys no cure will EVER be found. We need to move on to more advanced methods of research before a cure can even be hoped for.

Don't you ever read the news? A baby is born at 21 weeks of age and the doctor won't look at him. Peter Singer says it's ok to consider disabled as lesser being. He has his article posted in new york times. Moves on both sides of the atlantic are being made to try and legalise...

    Adjustment to late onset deafness

I think most people face discrimination of one sort or another. I was born disabled so I've known it all my life, plus being half french, and bisexual. I've not really faced so much sexism though, maybe I was just lucky or the discrimination I faced for being disabled was so much greater that I...

Pizza with mushrooms, onions, garlic, tomato and fake cheese (Super melting Cheezly) and fake bacon. It's delicious!

It does because I don't want to get murdered if I get knocked down by a bus. Just because people think my disability and whatever state the accident caused me to be in. Didn't mean that my life is not worth living. I may not agree with Sarah Palin on all issues but on disability related...

The gift of hearing....do you cherish it?

We are on differant sides of the fence here. I was also born HOH. I was ever so glad when that hearing eventually went. In fact I wish I was born with a profound hearing loss so I would have stood more chance of getting visual communication. (Yes, I know some parents make their profoundly deaf...

    whoopi is sick ....

Not me. If you rape someone I would never condone that. I don't care if the perpertrater is a film star, a politition or anything else. Once they rape they are low life in my opinion.
