I agree and what happens when they experience rejection again. It pushes them away again and again. Or it validates their opinion of the community. The reason to keep their child away. The only thing is this is not a complete view of the Deaf Community.

Me too. They will pay for cochlear implants not hearing aids. Since these are "special batteries" they cover the cost. I had to make my Unitron's last for 14 years because the cost was out of my budget.

Glad you found it. It is a scary situation. I have a set place to place my CIs, as I did my hearing aids. I change my batteries anywhere and I'm always worried about losing it. Can you place a magnet on the table so it is attached to it? that might help as you get the batteries out to change.

These are children we are discussing. Babies! I just don't understand these views. I personally feel this type of comments is a reflection on how they feel about others not just CI children. So those types of comments are not acceptable here or anywhere.
