Just so people know, there are survivors of pancreatic cancer. I know a man who is currently 8 years post treatment, has scans every six months, and is doing fine. Doctor's only predicted he would have 5-10 years after treatment, but I guess not everyone fits in statistics. Stay positive.

How did you figure out when people had multiple screen names? I imagine you comparing sentence structure or analyzing speech patterns or track ip addresses across the globe... or something equally intense. :)

That's what I would assume -- it's not "sorry (I'm deaf and can't hear), could you repeat what you said," so much as "sorry (to interrupt), could you repeat what you said." Except mumbling is inexcusable, no matter what, and then it's always "sorry (that you mumble and don't speak clearly)...

I think it's hard for people in general to understand stuff they aren't familiar with. The only basis of knowledge, other than asking or research (which is hard to do in some situations), about differences they are confronted with is going to be either a) past experience or b) media portrayal...

Yeah, as you can see just from this board there will always be things that some people hate although others prefer it. As a basic rule, anything that would piss you off -- like having someone throw something at you! -- is probably best to avoid :)

I freaking love that stuff! I think my mom makes ours with frozen green beens, but all I care about for thanksgiving dinner is that crap, dinner rolls, stuffing, and gravy. Everything else could not be there and I'd still be happy.
