We got about 2-3 inches this morning. Nothing to complain about except I had to drive downstate early through the snowfall, which wasn't fun.

Finally got rid of all the crumby feelings from surgery and the antibiotics making me feel like crap. Just in time to go downstate again to get the packing taken out of my ear.

This is very tasty food for thought. I am actually thinking about getting one myself. I was born without the ability to smell, and as of yet don't have a fire alarm that works for me so my reaction time to a fire is very minimal. I definitely wouldn't have time to grab anything important.

This is why I am glad I live in the backwoods with nice crisp refreshing well water.

yah, I actually went to the ER two nights back to rule out infection. The ears are pretty close to the brain so they weren't taking any chances. They didn't switch my meds though so that sucks. My choices are pretty much take meds that will make me sick, or risk infection.

Not feeling to good today. I'm recovering from an adverse reaction to my post surgery meds. At least I hope it is the meds and not an infection.

I learned that the antibiotics they give you after surgery can mess you up pretty bad. I discovered that first hand over the last few days.

Trying to stay out of the 17 degree weather, as I can't blow my nose for at least two weeks. Doing so could blow out my eardrum after this surgery. Would help if I actually had a place of my own. I am feeling pretty lucky to have awesome friends right now.

skin grafts on the inner ear. Basically they scratched my entire inner ear and then put sections of my skin from other places on top of it to cause it to scar. The hope is that the scar tissue will plug leaking endolymph fluid channels. Of course, with Meniere's, endolymph fluid doesn't leak...
