California Proposition Eight - Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

"Natural" mean you think that learned behavior (like being polite or taking a shower once a month) is not natural? Wooden table in your furniture is not natural. Wood should be, by nature, a tree. You become shocked? Steel is not natural. You have a car? It is not natural. You become...

California Proposition Eight - Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

My argument is not against heterosexuals. Your proof that U.S. government's issue against gay people is because of straight people is not a reason for me. Why straight people think that a marriage must be between a man and a woman?

"The Tyra Banks Show" . . . you're kidding me, right?

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

The National Federation of the Blind is not "mudded" by that obscene organization. You can "mudded" my name, but, do not "mudded" the NFB.

Circuit City to close 155 stores

Isn't this the second round of closures for Circuit City? They're closing 22.5% of their stores. Three will be closed in Maryland. They blame "big box" stores like Best Buy. Circuit City should, with financial background, be able to rise to the challenge.

California Proposition Eight - Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

What is the alternative reason against two adults to marry?

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

You've a different agenda. I understand, now. Intelligent beings within NFB would know what I'm talking about.

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I realize, obviously, that expressing reality is considered "egotist."

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

Now, you're going off on a tangent that I'd not, with intent, expressed a point. You, go on ahead, my friend. Be all that you can be.

You speaking of a social spirit? You'd missed the bullet. I'm sorry I was not more clear.

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I was trying to convey a social spirit. I'm sorry that it was lost on you.

California Proposition Eight - Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

Why do you think marriage is between a man and a woman? I never thought it to be that way, until, religious groups told me. Enlightened, I'd realized that EVERYONE wants a significant other (we go in pairs). Obviously, the concept of marriage between a man and a woman is religious (for the...

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I never said that blindness limited your ability. I'd said that SOCIETY views blindness as a greater disability. Understood?

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

So, that's why we're knocking heads! Dogs indicate a spirit whilst a cane indicates another spirit. Both have benefits and, both, have cons. A white cane, socially, indicates a status and declaration of independence from other living beings. Dogs indicate dependence upon other...

California Proposition Eight - Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

What religious groups do is none of my business (as it is today). What the government do IS my business. I grew up within, what could be called, "a cult" and I know, within my heart's content, the difference. What religious people do is VERY different from what the government do. These...

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I disagree. The ability to see invites a sense of mobility and, thus, independence. You cannot see? You cannot move freely as if you can. Overcoming blindness is amazing. Very amazing.

Does Society Treat the Blind any different and the Deaf?

I was on a public bus to a Super Wal-Mart. A corner turned, there was a lady with blindfolds on with a white cane and a guy, without blindfolds, with a cane. People took notice - they gasped. I'd said, "The one with the blindfold is under training." They were relieved. As a former...
