i am hearing, but i am learning sign language. i don't go around telling everyone that, but if they want/need to know, i tell them. i like the idea that if a wanted to start a conversation with a deaf person, i could without haveing to ask them what, or saying something unfair.

ok, thankz. i, in a way, want to, and then i don't want to. but i would never pretend to be, that's like a blind person pretending to be able to see.

i have been learning ASL. i think that is much eaier, because SEE u have to sign every word, and ASL doesn't require you too. therefor, if you were having a conversation, it will take you more time to fet the idea across the the other person, than just a few signs. i.e. ASL how you...

i think they can work, if they know each other really well, and know some form of sign language. lip reading doesn't always work, but i tdoes some times.

i agree with all of u. even though i am hearing. i am learning sign language and trying to learn more about the deaf community. i was hopein gthat some of you would enlighten me on some of your everyday life. i am sorry if i offend any of you in asking.
