I've had teachers in the past that did exactly that, and said that encyclopedias would not be counted as a reference even if you used one.

I am surprised and sad to see this sort of censorship. I mentioned God when I delivered a commencement address years back, and nobody batted an eye at it. At our school, we even had to try out in order to give the commencement speech, and not one of the judges said a thing to me. I wasn't...

I don't agree with their interpretation either, but you don't get anywhere by treating people poorly because of it. All that does is make people (understandably) get defensive, rather than inviting calm consideration of one's point.

I trust God far more than I do any person, to render proper judgment AND a proper sentence for each of us. There is nothing that grates on me worse than people claiming to know the state of a person's immortal soul without having the infinite wisdom or knowledge necessary to do so without error.

I hope too many people haven't made fun. If they do, then they're just dickheads and I don't think they DESERVE to be in the loop anyway. If that kind of person gets obnoxious about going, "Huh?" I'd just tell them it was about them and walk away. Leave 'em nice and paranoid. ;)

Accusing him of being a devil is not going to help you any, ClearSky; if anything you're making his case for him. That's not the loving approach Christians are called to have.

I still have not seen anyone directly address the issue of how some of these people intentionally dress poorly to play on people's sympathies and to deceive them into thinking they're poorer than they are. That is a lie as far as I'm concerned.
