I can imagine your situation; however, I've never been hearing in my life. Lucky to have a tiny amount of hearing in both ears and lucky to be able to speak eloquently just like every hearing person.

Most of the people know American Sign Language. You should see if there are a nice group of deaf people in your area, so you can practice Swedish Sign Language with them. Wanna practice ASL?
