The CROS is a great improvement, the BAHA sounded a bit more natural when I was tested on it. My "good ear" had mild hearing loss and the CROS piece for that ear has amplification. I may be using both the BAHA and the Widex at the same time on and off.

I've been using a Widex CROS for about a week and I'm very happy with what I'm hearing except the sound is a bit "hollow" sometimes. Tomorrow I'm getting surgery for a BAHA attract.

Here's the scoop on what in up to, I was finally tested on a Baha band and my word recognition went from 4% to 80% and that was with background noise in the good ear. I was honestly astounded. I'm getting a CROS in a few days and I'm keeping it for backup if the Baha goes down for some reason...
For me it's either the very high fever I had at 18 months old or the streptomycin, erythromycin or any of the other -mycins I was given when younger. I have SSD.
I'm glad I found this site. SSD is a weird state of being I guess. I've never ever considered myself disabled but teaching has made it very difficult to compromise and it's taken me a few years to realize that's where the problem is.
