Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

It seems some of the dedicated TV streamers from the HA company work better and do not have a delay or a noticeable delay. But the straight Bluetooth method does seem to have a noticeable delay.

Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

I hook up my streamer directly to the TV using a 50 foot cable and it works perfectly.

Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

The only warning I will give about using bluetooth for the TV, there is usually a slight delay and the sounds may not sync up with the sounds coming from the TV and from the people talking on the screen. Some people find this very annoying. Almost like those old fashion kung-fu movies where...

Teenage killer who was sentenced to death for killed bible teacher at 16 years old

I disagree 100%. You mean to tell me at 16 that you don't know that stabbing someone 33 times is wrong? She planned to rob this person, it was no act of rage, it was done with evil intentions. Give me a break!!!!

Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

It would depend on what type of hearing aid she has. I have a starkey which has a streamer device that allows you to talk into the mic on the streamer which goes directly to the user's hearing aid. No blutooth needed. But you would need to be using the Starkey hearing aid and get the surflink...

what kind of service/plan/phone does everyone have?

I just got the Motorola Droid Razr M phone and it is GREAT with my hearing aids. Rated a M4/T4 and works so good. Better than a land-line phone. I used to use t-coil all the time and still do a lot, but with this phone, I don't even have to use the t-coil (that's the M rating part)

    Hearing aid apps for iPhone

There are several android versions, but it's not the BioAid. The problem with the Android version is that there is a delay. Not sure if there is a delay with the iPhone, but the reason BioAid was designed for the iPhone is because they claim there is no delay. Also, it is made pretty clear...

    Starkey Something

It's called the Jodi-vac. It's a little pricy, but I want my HA to last a very long time and I think it's worth the investment. I found it on Amazon a little cheaper than buying it directly from the Jodi-vac site. Very happy with it too. The website is Jodi-Vac - Hearing Aid Vacuum Systems...

    Starkey Something

Make sure you keep that little white thing on the end (wax guard) clean. I have the same HA and one day one of them stopped working. After replacing the wax guard tip, everything was back to normal. Now I use a special vacuum to clean them every week or so. You can use the brush they give you...

    Ordered a new earmold

Do you use t-coil? I don't think you should get feedback with t-coil. Also, how old are your HA? feedback control technology has been around for years, if you HA are old, the newer HA have much better technology to handle feedback. But it is true, the most important part of controlling...

Get my new ears today :D

Something doesn't sound right, you shouldn't be having these types of issues. based on your experience with two major brands, it almost sounds like you don't have a good person who knows how to properly fit you. I have had Phonak and now wear Starkey and I have a severe loss and both were good...

Low End Hearing Aids, eg Phonak Naida III UPs.

No prices have NOT come down. between $2,000 to $3,000 is about the going rate for a good quality HA today. so $6,000 for the pair is pretty normal, maybe a little on the high end.
