Hello everyone. I haven't been in this forum for some time not so it's almost like I'm new here again so I thought I'd jump right in and try y to post something useful to start out. I've been HOH all my life by my hearing decreased to deafness when I was about 20. I'll be 37 in a couple of weeks.
I remember how I loved watching movies in the theaters when I was a kid. Now days I'm sure I'm not alone when I sometimes feel left out of what modern technology has to offer hearing people. I'm not whining about it. It's just nerve racking from time to time. One of the things that bugged me was that hearing people have so many ways they can watch TV and movies on the internet but we deaf have to do a lot of searching to find one that is subtitled. I'll show you how I learned how to do that and it's all free. I know there are movie theaters that have closed captioned movies but they aren't all that common. The closest one to my home is about a 2 hour drive.
I learned a variety of ways to download and watch movies and TV shows from the internet. After a few friends asked me to show them how to do it I decided to write up some basic instructions. Rather then post all the information I just made it into a little PDF file. So if you want to know how to download and add subtitles to online movies you can check it out. Nothing in it will cost anything.

I hope someone finds this helpful and i hope you enjoy finally being able to watch subtitles movies from your computer.
