to Alldeaf! I am an aussie and have been to UK many times cos my hubby's family lives there. Planning to move there to live next year if all goes well.

Hello and welcome to Alldeaf! Sure, there are times or moments in the past when a (no offense to any hearing member here in AD) hearing person or more make me feel 'little'...like you mentioned: 'stoopid (stupid)' Hearing person>> Ï .<< me 
Now it's easier to handle such moments like these, either I can just simply shrug it off and let bygones be bygones or say a word or two whereas they'll definitely umm....'shaddup quickly' or change how they come across to me. 
Anyhow, glad you found this site and hope you'll enjoy your stay here as well!
