Why Microsoft is scared of virtualization: Buy an Apple Mac, run anything and everything

http://macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/14709/

MacDailyNews Take: Why waste money on an OS-limited Dell or HP or Acer or Sony or any other personal computer than Apple's Mac which is the only computer that can run everything? This is why Apple has created a robust library of Mac-only, best-in-class applications (iLife, iWork, Final Cut, etc.). Only on a Mac. The world's largest software library runs only on Apple Macintosh.

(well copy and paste the link eh )

I tried to reload it and still said same thing. :dunno:

Now, I don't trust HP, Sony, Dell or other computer companies that make windows because more bundle was included that won't give you a better feature, took alot of space in hard drive.

Mac got everything for price. :)

That's most reason because I got iMac last week.

anything? it's another crazy notion from a crazy mac fanboy. my friends and i had challenged that claim by installing bioshock, x3: reunion and two worlds. guess what -- none of them were able to install on mac with vmware. this same goes for side effects houdini.

And Xbox and Zune aren't going to make up the difference.

this says a lot about his ignorance. fanboys sheesh.

The end result: more Mac users, less WIndows users, and the Dark Ages of Personal Computing finally, inexorably come to an end.

i've heard that line before from mac fanboys for maybe 10 years. windows still own the biggest share in the market. sure some people are disappointed with microsoft's decision regarding vista but near-all of them will stay with microsoft for two reasons -- video games and flexibility.

You would think Microsoft would want to sell more copies of Vista, not fewer. We can only assume Microsoft wants Vista only to run in environments where it has total control.

what's up with fanboys and their conspiracy theory? i think they need real sex, less masturbation.

I don't want Apple and mac OS X.. so expensive :ugh3:

However, haven't you look at Mini Mac? It supposed to be affordable but more worth, plus I don' know about price in Europe, it can be more cost than USA does.

Sure, Compare for Apple vs. Sony then what would you want it? Both of them are expensive.

Mac is still expensive in my country. Pcs are much more affordable with more options :)

Now, I already running Windows XP on iMac SO SUCCESSFULLY, it runs so prefer, no hassle, even run so faster on Intel Core 2 Duo. :)

I don't need to send other $1,000 on better Windows PC with best graphic card.

Windows dominating the computer share market is meaningless. Since Apple is a brand of its own with its own operating system, they are naturally going to have a smaller share compared to a dozen of computer brands (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc) that already have Windows pre-installed. It's really a battle of operating systems, and having used Windows since 95 and recently switching to OS X, OS X is clearly the superior operating system in terms of stability, virus/hacker protection, and usability.

I agree that if you are a gamer, using a PC for best gaming performance makes sense. Most games are being programmed for the PC simply due to Windows being the operating system that most people use. The flexibility part, I would have to disagree with. There are many applications that already come bundled with a Mac (DVD player, TextEdit, iPhoto, Image Capture, Preview, Mail, Safari, Address Book, Calendar, etc..) and a countless list of free applications akin to Windows programs, but with better GUI and usability. Other than games, I have yet to see anything that I can't do on a Mac. Actually, with the new version of Parallels, Windows can be installed on a Mac, and gaming performance apparently runs at native speed. That's greater flexibilty, if you ask me ;)

Apple owns 17 percent of the marketshare on the laptop market. I have been seeing more Macbooks in use at coffee shops, etc.

I heard the PC (Windows) market is saturated already because there is too many of them out there.
