An offbeat South Carolina prison inmate has filed a handwritten lawsuit seeking $63 quintillion from Michael Vick.
That's $63,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Or as Jonathan Lee Riches put it in his handwritten lawsuit, "$63,000,000,000 billion." The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Richmond on July 23.
Riches -- who has developed an Internet cult following for his propensity to file strange lawsuits naming multiple diverse defendants -- claims that Vick stole his pit bulls and sold them on eBay to "use the proceeds to purchase missiles from the Iran government."
In the complaint, Riches scrawls that "Michael Vick has to stop physically hurting my feelings and dashing my hopes."
If he wins the lawsuit, Riches says he wants the $63 quintillion delivered in gold and silver to the front gate of the Williamsburg Federal Correctional Facility in South Carolina, where he is housed as he serves a conviction for wire fraud.
In his previous lawsuits -- which have never actually made it to court -- Riches has sued politicians, entertainers, dead people, corporations and occasionally abstract concepts.
One week before he filed suit against Vick, Riches had filed a suit against three entities -- the Jewish Mossad, the Central Intelligence Agency and "Larry King Live." It was unclear why he was suing them.
In his most noteworthy suit, Riches submitted a 57-page list of defendants that included President Bush, Pope Benedict, actor Tony Danza, Fruit of the Loom, NASCAR, the Ming Dynasty, Skittles candy, the Philadelphia Eagles (2005 roster), the Doobie Brothers, the Congolese Army, the Magna Carta, "WKRP in Cincinnati," the King's Dominion amusement park in Virginia, the philosopher Plato, and the Liberty Bell.
He claimed they collectively owed him money.

If NFL banned Vick to playing for any teams in NFL then TNA Wrestling will sign him and tag team with Pacman Jones

Vick Jerseys Being Used To Clean Kennels
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Humane Society said they are receiving donations from across the country -- and you’ll never guess what people are sending.
More than a dozen Michael Vick jerseys have been sent to AHS, and they are putting them to good use.
“When I first saw them, I was kind of shocked. I was like, ‘Why do they have Vick jerseys here,’ said Julie Sentner.
Vick is innocent until proven guilty, but his association when men pleading guilty to federal dog fighting charges makes the number 7 jersey an unexpected find at the Atlanta Humane Society.
“At first we were like, ‘I wonder what we’re going to use this for,” said P.J. Smith with AHS.
And the jerseys kept coming. About a dozen or so jerseys were sent from people wanting to make good from a bad situation. In fact, the Humane Society is getting flooded with e-mails about Vick.
So what are volunteers doing with the jerseys?
“We discovered like any donation we get, any shirt or towel, we put it to good use here at Atlanta Humane Society. We’re always using things to clean kennels, use for bedding and stuff like that,” said Smith.
Did she say cleaning kennels?
“We’re not showing any favoritism to these jerseys, they go into our general rotation of towels,” Smith said.
One dog is using his Vick jersey as a pillow.
This dog at the Atlanta Humane Society is enjoying his bed, which is a Vick jersey donated by an upset fan.
“As long as they’re being used for good, then that’s great. If they’re using them to make dogs more comfortable or to clean up after them, then that’s fine,” said Sentner.
Of course, the Vick jerseys being donated mean a lot more to the people than to the puppies -- they’re just loving all the attention.

Poindexter to send case to grand jury in September 08/17/07
Michael Vick's problems didn't end with his former friends and co-defendants pleading guilty and alleging that he funded a dogfighting ring and helped them execute dogs that failed to show the gameness to fight.
Virginia Commonwealth Attorney Gerald Poindexter told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Friday afternoon that "yes, indeed, we will prosecute" Vick and others on possible animal cruelty and dogfighting charges. Poindexter said he would probably submit his case to a grand jury that is scheduled to convene Sept. 25.
He has not determined which charges he would file but said he would aggressively prosecute based on previously acquired evidence and some of the evidence presented in the federal case. Dogfighting and animal cruelty are felonies in Virginia with animal cruelty charges holding penalties of up to five years in jail for each animal killed.
"The execution of these animals — and the manner in which they were executed — is startlingly offensive and demanding of prosecution," Poindexter said.
Statements made in the guilty pleas reached by Phillips and Peace that they accompanied Vick in the execution of eight dogs this April and fought dogs on Vick's Surry County, Va., property solidified Poindexter's decision to move forward with prosecution.

Michael Vick's legal expenses are getting a little more expensive.
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback is facing federal dogfighting charges in Richmond. He also is facing a civil penalty for not wearing his seat belt.
Virginia State Police Sergeant D.S. Carr says a trooper cited Vick for not wearing his seat belt when a car he was riding in was pulled over in Isle of Wight County yesterday because the tint on the windows was too dark.
Carr says it was Vick's car, but someone else was driving. The driver was cited for the tint and Vick was slapped with a $25 fine for not buckling up.
There are no court costs, and Vick doesn't have to appear in court. Carr says Vick can prepay the fine if he wants.
