Psst... PC isn't a console. PC is more than gaming.

"GAMING SYSTEM" PC is also gaming system so does Wii, PS3, Xbox 360. All has games to play with.

If a PC is gaming system, then *points at Microsoft Office, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Windows Media Center* What's that I hear from you? "These things aren't games."

Yeah, exactly my point. PC is not a gaming system. If you want a PC that only plays games, guess what? You're in luck because you already have one and it's called XBOX 360. You know what runs it? Yup... Windows. Go ahead and call Microsoft. They'll tell you the same thing I just told you.

Most Americans own computer that's integrated graphic, such as GMA 950 and GeForce 6150, fuck to GMA 950, I wish that Intel graphic unit aren't exist.

Zing, Wii isn't compare with Xbox 360 and PS3 when gaming is support HD, plus can you count on PC games that's HD and directx 10 only.

No, Xbox 360 and PC aren't same, Gaming PC can do higher fps (frame per second) since Xbox 360 is only at 30 to 60 fps.

Right and most Americans do not buy computers just to play games. They buy them for Word Processing, Email, Work reasons like doing database, graphics in Adobe Photoshop.

And also, Only Vista requires DX 10, XP only go up to 9.0c. It is hard for some consoles to keep up with demand for high graphics and DX 10. I know Wii won't handle DX 10. Wii's graphics matches maybe DX 8 or 9.

You misunderstood what I said. The kernel (OS engine) in 360 is Windows-based.

The scoop on the Xbox 360's embedded OS
The Xbox 360's OS, in turn, has its roots in the OS of the original Xbox. I've been told (not by Microsoft, but by one of its hardware partners) that the Xbox absolutely positively does NOT run Linux [oops, the censors missed that one --Ed.] or Unix or some variant of that. The Xbox 360 project started with the Xbox OS the same way the Xbox project started with Windows 2000. They cut, added, and changed it in both large and small ways. It's now quite a bit different from the Xbox OS, which was itself quite a bit different from Windows 2000.

Really, the best way to think of it is as "The Xbox 360 OS." But if you really have to think of it in Windows terms, you could say it has roots in Windows 2000 by way of the original Xbox, albeit with sweeping changes along the way.

So there you have it: the Xbox 360 reportedly runs a second-order derivative of Windows 2000 that has been ported to the custom triple-core IBM PowerPC processor. Well, that's what we think, anyhow.

20. What OS does the Xbox 360 use?

The Xbox 360 uses a custom operating system. In an exclusive interview with TeamXbox.com, Todd Holmdahl, Corporate Vice President of the Xbox Product Group at Microsoft, explained, “The best way to think about the Xbox 360 OS is that it is an extension of the Xbox 1.0 OS.” To read the complete interview, click here.

Look at the subject... "Games" PC has games, Wii has games, PS3 has games, Xbox 360 has games.

I think you are just mad because of our last debates over Wii issues in another threads... Get over with it. You are a loser in here anyway.

I don't know why you have to act like a backwood hick from Texas in order to insult me.

Funny, Last I checked, I made it known that I plan to buy PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online. Two games that you X360 fanboys will never ever get.

Show me where I said I was mad? I'm laughing because your nonsense reminds me of Bush. I guess you Texans do think alike. That's sad.

Microsoft sucks. MGS4 and MGO will outsell any of the said games you listed. Go to a corner in your room, curl up and start weeping at the fact that when these two games comes out, PS3 will beat X360.

Oh, to own hardcore PC is really expensive like shit, require GeForce 8800 (SLI-dual work best), physic card, faster hard drive (7200-10,000 RPM), 2GB or more RAM and 1,000 watts PSU, that's hardcore PC gamers.
