I'm sure everyone is already beyond the point of confusion with the BlackBerry 8300 and the BlackBerry 8320 and the BlackBerry 8330 and the BlackBerry 83xx, but one tidbit of knowledge that might help ease your mind and any confusion that has started to manifest from Waterloo is the release of this device will be on AT&T and T-Mobile in the May launch month, with Rogers on board north of the border.

Wondering what's the difference with this one and the new 8800 or 8830 i think it is... I doubt 8300 is carried up north of the border I could be wrong.. it's a cool thing!!! thanks for posting it!!!
 
it's much thin than standard blackberry and have 2.0 megapixel. However, disappointment that pictures look out of color, mostly gray in appear. yuck.

~via BB~ Chick, me too that I was confused about 8800, 8830, 8300. Till I found out that 8800 and 8830 are same feature and lack of camera. 8800 for AT&T, T-Mobile, on and on. 8830 for Verizonwireless.

Now Blackberry 8300 was offically named "CURVE", it has camera like 8100 aka "pearl"..

I can't wait that TMO will release
this beautiful "CURVE" sooner! Damn. Can't wait....

thanks, I really liked the curve i think it was basically the same as the pearl but using a full qwerty keyboard... just wondering if it would do much like the 8700 like resolution so on. fast speed as well.. smile.. looking forward to seeing it... thanks for the info...

you have the curve?? well of course with the 2.0 megapixel you don't expect great pictures if you have a good software to fix it... smile..

or he need get digital camera, more true picture quality than cellphone's camera.

~via BB~ Chick, I am glad my post made clearly to you. Oh yeah, you really like the curveberry, me too. :). Your questions about if CURVE would have high resolution and SPeed as 8700 does? My answer is yes about CURVE's resolution will be high crisp screen as 8700. And about speed, I honestly tell you, not sure about it. I am still searching it more infomation about curve details.. But I heard that AT&T offer the curve will be on EDGE. Therefore, Curve would do much like 8700. Smile.....

heheheh my girlfriend got me into this blackberry business like 4 years ago, it'll be my third one ...I had the 7280 first time it was cool and then 8700 blew my mind, my mom calls it "your hot boytoy" lmaoo.. MY g/f she calls herself.. the crackberry lol.. Yeah it's sure great cause of the video part to be able to listen to music and the memory card.. it's about the same size as the 8700 and 8800 is abit smaller..

my question is about the tethered modem, I'm not that familiar with it, suppose you can go on any computer to d/l what's on your bb such as at work, is that possible even though we use different system... just a thought..
I really can't think what's the difference between 8800 and Curve??

As you know it's BB OS not WIndows OS which is good cause some friends told me with Window OS it crashes alot.. soo that's good!!

Try Symbian OS running on some Nokia and Samsung phones, that's worse than Windows. After all, different OS have different personalities.

what's symbian Os?? never heard of it.. as I know my friend had a TREO said that with WIndow OS it always crashing on him.. soo.. I'm sticking with my BB OS lol.. smile who knows maybe in future.. smile... thanks for info...

Lol, I got Windows Mobile 5 on my Cingular 8525. Yeah you got that right it does crash time to time. I wonder if Windows Mobile 6 will help with stabity issues. I don't think there's a BB that runs Windows, so you're safe.
 
Nothing is safe and BB are also known to crash as well too.

Windows can have few crashes or crashless if you careful what application you install. Not many applications are bug-free.

I rarely have to reset my 8525 and I have a bunch of application on it also I tried WM 6 and it is very stable but I went back to WM5 AUK 3 since some of my applictions is not written for WM6 yet but WM5 AUK 3 is not out in public yet however I don't know if AT&T will release it or skip and release WM6 this summer.

Any computer or phone or ipod or any electronic device with a processor *WILL* crash depending what you install or is executing on a processor no matter what OS system.

There is no "perfect" OS or "Bug-Free" applications. So no need to compare OS to another OS or Application to another Appliction saying one is better than other.


What is important to me is carrier brand and how widespread avaiable cell tower companies have and how good a signal I can get on data stream.

Well with my 8700 I really never had any crashes at all my friend who had a Treo told me his crashes too much so he moved to 8703e or g same BB OS.. I guess you are right about the carrier of these devices.. since 8700 uses edge.

The good: The RIM BlackBerry Curve boasts a sexy and slim design with an improved full QWERTY keyboard. The smart phone also has a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a media player. There's a new spell-checker for e-mail and memos, and audio technology that automatically adjusts call volume in noisy environments.

The bad: Unfortunately, the BlackBerry Curve doesn't have integrated Wi-Fi or 3G support. The device's camera still doesn't have video-recording capabilities, and call quality sounded a bit hollow.

The bottom line: Though it doesn't bring Wi-Fi or 3G support, the BlackBerry Curve offers a best-of-breed design and a well-rounded set of features to make it an attractive device for consumers and mobile professionals alike.

My question, is it worth to have the wi-fi or the 3g even if it's edge isn't it not?? Makes me think to wait for the 8830 to come out first but the curve looks soo hot and lighter/smaller please advise thanks...

i think htc release a new updated version for 8525 two weeks ago. check this

be sure to check on ur device's version. if it is older than what it supposes to be, then it is time to upgrade it. you will see new looks on wm6. i hope i am right. :)
