Hi AllDeaf readers, My DVD player just gave out. That was a really good DVD player and I used to rent alots of movies. I must have had it 3 or 4 years now. :tears:

I am now in the market for a new DVD player and what I am looking for is one with a DVD and VCR combo player and the DVD/VCR combo can run subtitles & closed captioning.

I would like one Made In The U.S.A. :fingersx:

If you have HDTV and suggest you to look for dvd player with hdmi input. It can progressive up to 1080i. It looks great picture and sound. Even better than component. Try Sony. It is best brand ever.. VCR is dead for good.

Okay I will go with Sony DVD player. I don't have HDTV though.

Go to Wal Mart and get DVD player for like 40 bucks. That's what we got. And it runs great! If it dies again, it is cheap to replace it. Our 1st DVD player died on us a year ago and I didn't complain because we already have few others around the house.

Yeah Laketahoe, my DVD player that I had was Amex and I got it as a birthday present.

Best Buy sells a pretty nice and simple $30 DVD player by Insignia, but I don't think it has HDMI, just Components. I would recommend HDMI, it really does significantly help the DVD quality.
Check your tv and see if you have red, green and blue, if you do that is Component, but I am not sure it would greatly improve the picture on a SDTV.

I thougtht Hiteker was good?
Anyway, I'm hunting for a DVD or DVD/VCR combo that comes equipped with multizone capability. How do I recognise the sign that a DVD does have multizone?

Hope anyone can understand what I'm trying to ask.
