Hi, Last night I went to a healing revival service. The man from Rivers In The Desert International - Revival Website came to my hometown and I sat through the church service, there was a slideshow of his time in Israel with the shofar, an ancient musical instrument used by the Hebrews in Biblical land days and he used the shofar then as it got close to the time of the healing service. Someone in the backrow who was taking notes for me told me that she did not understand all of a sudden that the guy, Scott Holtz of this ministry flashfloods was talking about saltwater aquarium and I went huh ? then finally the healing service started and many people came forward then here is what happened blow by blow, I went up with my hearing aid in hand and eyeglasses in another hand then when he saw that I was the real deal that I am Deaf then he avoided me then laid hands on another people then he continued to avoid me then I walked right up to him and he made a show out of laying his hands then jumping back like I am living in sin or something like that then he quickly moved on. I have seen this one too many times. You all know how a healing scammer works. He would not lay hands on people who are the real deal, people who are mentally retarded, a cripple etc. He would only lay hands on normal people or those with very, very light disablities and I saw many people supposedly " slain in the spirit " I left the church service very angry because this guy is exactly like Benny Hinn and Morris Cereullo. Fake scamming scheming sniveling false preacher and my pastor was not very happy because he saw the whole thing and my pastor really wanted Scott Holtz to lay hands on me and he saw that he wasn't gonna do that. We both knew he was not a man of God because if he was, I would have been healed and I would have given my videophone back, hearing aid back to my VR counselor and rejoice at being healed, join the U.S. Marines, a job traditionally denied to Deaf people and be a policeman after 4 years of being in the Marine Corps. Here is where it gets more interesting ..... I called this morning to talk to one of the men at my church that said he got healed of a heart condition, and when I told him what happened then he promptly hung up on me, saying I have to go to church. ( yeah right ) and what's more he never showed me the paperwork from the hospital showing he had heart problems then now he was healed of his heart problem. Really, I am getting very sick of those types of pastors that claim they can heal somebody because if the pastor can really heal me or you then he would have walked right up and healed me on the spot with no hestiation or any problems. He even went so far to claim that in Canada that he healed a girl that was in a car wreck and she was dead and he layed hands on her and she was raised up just like Lazarus was risen to life by Jesus Christ, what is more, her face was disfigured in the accident and her face was made whole again like new. I don't know what this man is doing going around and claiming he can heal people when I have not been healed and in all likehood nobody was healed at the church service. People are into their delusions of being healed and if I was healed, I would have been giving my hearing aid back to the VR counselor, videophone back to Sorenson etc. so basically I am very fed up with these sick type of people who claim they can heal and are found to not be able to heal people when it comes to the real deal people like you and me who are Deaf. So my question is do you guys know anybody who really can heal somebody through the Power of God ?

Well, People do have been healed. I was healed once when I was a baby and I had a hole in my heart and I was supposed to be a vegetable for the rest of my life with brain damage. My mom prayed over me and God answered my mom's prayer. The only thing left is that I am Deaf. That is it. I did not give him any money at all. I went to see if he would heal me through the Power of God. That was it. There are always going to be people that scam anothers for money and cheat anothers out of hope, things like that and if I find somebody who really is a man of God and has actually healed me through the Power of God. I will be sending him to you. I am serious.
Nothing makes me madder than people who claim to can heal people through the Power of God and are found to be false healers. These kind of people ought to be lined up and shot one by one for the crime of being a false healer. It is how that serious it is because some people with terminal illness really do need to be healed much more than we do as a Deaf people do. In King Necczzuber's time. He had people who tried to interprete his dreams and they were killed on the spot once they were found to be false and the only one that could interprete his dreams was Joseph and the rest is history. Joseph was given the Kingdom of Egypt and through series of events he brought his family to him through his 10 brothers who sold him out for some money to Egypt. It is how that serious it is. Would you have Moses hestiating to heal somebody or Peter or Paul or one of Jesus's 12 disicples hesitating to heal somebody or even Jesus Christ himself ? No way !!!!! and that is exactly what happened Saturday night. Nothing makes me madder than somebody claiming they can heal somebody through the Power of God and are found to be false healers.

I am sorry, u went to see him. It showed u have no faith in God and hope to be heal thru by someone else. U can be healed only thru Him no one else, period. I choose to be deaf so stay deaf, if anyone try to heal me it won't work because I do not want to be healed. I did it for Him only, if He wants me to be healed then so be it but not my deafness I love my deafness.
There is something else u may not know but I met this woman once. She knocked me down when she touched my heart. How hell she does to me then I asked around and found out she has some kind of power to draw my energy out of my body to knock me out. It has a name for it but I won't say here since it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. We all have this energy in our body and others can draw them out of our body to make u fall down. So this man u went is a scammer to steal money because he knows how to use it. And he uses Jesus Christ to fool people. Oh well.
Either God can heal me Himself or God can use somebody to heal somebody else through the Power of God.
I am happy to be Deaf and at the same time I don't mind being healed too. If it happens, it will happen. Simple as that.
That is what they call " being slain in the spirit " is but I don't buy that at all ( not you jazzy ) because I have been to healing meetings where people were supposedly " slain in the spirit " all around me, and Here I am, The real deal, a Deaf person, the geninue article waiting to be healed and they don't do nothing except lay hands and make a big show out of it every and each single time. If they really were going to heal me through the Power of God. It would have happened and I probably would not have been " slain in the spirit " and I would still be standing and rejoicing and singing a song in my own soul towards Heaven singing a beautiful song of gratidute, thanksgiving and praise towards God and Holy Heaven. The whole church would have broken into song and praise to God, giving thanks to God for the healing witnessed this day and it won't be nothing like what you see at that fake snakey healing service you see on t.v. TBN - Trinity Broadcasting Network with that crooked preacher Benny Hinn and Morris Cereullo and the rest of the crooked TBN crew.

I do believe in healings. But sadly, like cruello and hinn and other healing preachers scammed and decieved many people. It is dangerous position for being a preacher in Jesus's name by decieving people. That is why I'm getting the picture what Jesus was saying " not everyone who says, Lord, Lord will enter Heaven, when some says, I healed in your name, I prophesied your Name, and Jesus will say, depart from me, I NEVER knew you". What Jesus is saying that, He alone knows that a person claimed to be a christian (not the one who struggling and He knows the heart of men either honstly or dishonestly). That is why we have to becareful who preaches either genuine or false.
Interest word of it slain in the spirit, not what I feel when she touched me, she did not mean to draw it out of my body. I think people alike her can learn and fool people by using it this way to fool people. It has many names, in eastern world they call it shakita something, when I find this word again and let u know what they calls it.
My Christian friend told me once about healing, she has one point here. Healing power was performed during Jesus' time to show the proof of God exist . When the last aspotle dies, it stopped. I do believe in healing thru prayer but it would not be alike back in Jesus' time to heal deafness, blindness, lame, and so on. I feel bad for those people who led to believe in those called Toronto blessing ( mispelling) this is what they call it. Benny Hinn learned how to use this by learned from Kathryn Kulman. She was big hit too, yeah I met her once and she did not knock me down but felt alot of energy come from her but she did not heal me nor others. I can not believe my mother believed her.

Chick talked about how Kathryn Kulman dervied power from the occultic arts and from the Roman Catholic church and she then taught Benny Hinn these so-called healings. I don't believe in healing scams like you mention. I also don't watch Evangalists (sp?) TV shows. They are phony to me. That's how they make profit. I'll just stick with my bible book. Look what's happening today! With all that scams. I used to go to church but not anymore.
Yeah Mecooncat, I don't go to church that much anymore and there are no interpreters anyways and if I am going to go to church it will be at a Deaf church and there, at least nobody is saying all kinds of crazy stuff. I have seen everything from Geninue Christians to phony so-called and even very dangerous christians etc.
At a Deaf church nobody claims to heal somebody else because that really is messing with God's Word. That is for sure !!!!!

The age of apostalic healing is over.
God Himself can and does heal. He heals in His own time, for His own purposes and glory. God doesn't need to work thru human "healers".

Several years ago I had a conversation with a good friend of mine who was an Evangelist. She encouraged me to attend her church so that I could be "faith healed." She told me about someone in her congregation who wore hearing aids and no longer needed them after being healed. I agreed to attend her church so I could find out what this faith healing was all about.
When I stood in front of the pastor he placed his hands on my forehead, said a prayer and pushed against my forehead causing me to fall backwards. I can't say I felt anything different (emotionally) during that experience and I certainly wasn't healed of my blindness or deafness.
On the way home from church, I told my friend that I'm deafblind for a reason and if God wants to restore my sight and hearing, He will do so in His own time. I also told her how God said to me several years ago, "You will hear again someday. It may or may not be while you are here on Earth, but I promise you that it will happen."
Unfortunately, my friend passed away a few months before I received my first CI.
While it is true that I am still deaf even though I have CIs, God gave me back my hearing as promised. I can't explain why things happened the way they did. All I know is that I am thankful for the wonderful gift He has given me.

I am starting to understand why the Deaf world is so angry with these types of people and I am getting very angry myself so I have to calm down and just forget about the whole thing and if God is gonna heal me, good. If God is not gonna heal me, that is good too. I am staying away from this church to see what happens besides I am gonna be moving out of town a.s.a.p. and it will be a whole alots easier and much better to be in a Deaf church than deal with all these different types of churches. I have seen everything from in between. It is better to be in a Deaf church and focus on my KJV Holy Bible and be able to finally relax because I have been through alots for about the last 5 years now since I seriously asked God to heal me and I went through some pretty serious and very intense spiritual battles that I never had before. I will be very happy to not have people telling me one thing then the another, even to the point of trying to control me and before too long it gets too crazy you know then all sides want me to pick a side. My simple solution to all of this is that I say, I pick God. That is it. That way it ends all agruements. The fake faith healers really ought to be ashamed of themselves and they should be lined up and shot for the crime of false healings because some people may really need a healing really bad and they are not thinking right in their mind, they are scared and they have terminal illness like cancer and the false faith healer robs them blind of money and the worst of all, the human soul and the human will to live, to have hope. Fake faith healers are truly sick and very evil people period. I would be happy if I found somebody who is really a man or a woman of God and really can heal people, through the Power of God and all the another fake faith healers can go to jail, be shot or go to hell for all I care. That just makes me very angry just thinking about the whole situation and what I have been through. The time, money efforts and everything else so I am happy to be Deaf.
