Sling Box

It's a device you hook up to your cablebox or sat box and to your internet then when you leave home you still can watch your tv from any laptop or any computer with the supported software connected to your slingbox at home via internet.

You can even command sling box to change your channel at home.

There are even software that allow cell phone to view tv shows from slingbox too.

I don't know if it got CC or not. I doubt it will have CC since it on low end resolution and it compressed to save bandwidth during live viewing.

If you put an external CC decoder on the slingbox that should be enough, I'd like to see if that works. I've never heard of Orb before I'll have to look into it.
 
As far I am aware the Slingbox or other devices that push TV channels over the internet to subscribers away from home. Streaming media such as CNN and others are not regulated. US lawmakers in congress are aware of it and are working on a bill to become law.

At the meanwhile we are stuck with traditional cable TV with CC
 
frankly, it doens't work with CC as far as i know of.

i have my own ORB.com account. it is a cool one ! you can watch your favorite compressed movies with subtitles on your PDA or mobile while you are away. that is what i do with my PDA. it is just cool !
