HDTV does support the VP-200 but won't display it in 720p/1080i. It shows that in 480i which standard TVs display at. HDTVs today will display SDTV video. If you're getting HDTV for HD cable, HD DVD, future generation video gaming, go for it. If you need more questions, you can ask.

:)

Sometime during few years, Sorenson might develop VP-300 designed for HDTV, but don't quote me on that.

How many deaf people have or will have HDTV within the next few years, really?

I mean, we're just NOW finally having equal numbers of VHS and DVD players in people's homes. HDTV is a long way from even getting close to that mark.

you want buy Microsoft LifeCam NX 6000
LifeCam NX-6000

it is HDTV support 16:9

but if you want HDTV on VP-300 future but must more speed 1.6mbips (12.8bips) downstream / 1.6mbips (12.8bips) upstream or high, all don't have more 12.8 Mbips

I have Cox High Speed 12Mbips / 1Mbips, no good for HD oh well

VP-100 and VP-200 STD is okay for all deaf only 128mbips to 512mbips

VP 300 future will more high speed over 12mbips / 12mbps

becuase

DVD player is 1.6kb per sec (720p / 1080i)
HD DVD / Blu-Ray is 32mb per sec (1080p)

Your numbers are okay, but your terms are not.

VP-100 and VP-200 are okay for 128kbps to 512kbps broadband speeds

Equal? DVD player is already majority than VHS player since all VHS are creased out at Best Buy, Target, Circuit City and soon be Wal-Mart.

I believe that HDTV is going be majority in around late 2000's, also around 25% of Americans own HDTV at home and numbers are growing so rapidly. Best Buy and Circuit City are planning to crease all SDTV out in next year or so.

Pacman, Dennis really mean by that; in old time everybody have VHS, and it took people around less than 10 years to having DVD, I mean EVERYBODY have the DVD like everybody already had VHS in old time... He mean; everybody could get HDTV in around 8 extra years later when they finally have them instead of old tv... Understand what I mean?

Careful you not read all,
they want full HDTV, VideoPhone can't full 16:9 becuase more high speed more than 1.6mbips, Understand?

HDTV can Videophone 4.3 is fine but left and right are black screen

Yes Recommand is up to 512bmbips for deaf people use Videophone that they can't pay more 12mbips high speed, it is expenise. Future will low cheap

I thought that all TV would need to be HDTV by 2009? Or was that digital?

No, it wasn't require and can keep SDTV as collection, also digital are common on most tv including SDTV and HDTV (I think so) and some people like Y said analog will going crease out in next year.

For cassettes, they were popular in 70's until early 90's then don't sell anymore, also cassette players are creased out too. It can be happen to VCR in next decade but it was popular for recording any shows on tv and sports.

I prefer to use DVR for recoding any tv shows.

I have a HDTV,...in some channels the captioning is messed up. It appears and then disappears in like a half a second. Anyone know how to fix that problem?

I have a small regular TV for my VP.

It does not mean all TVs will be HDTV by 2009. The signals are converted to digital on Feb 17, 2009 and they shut down the analog signals. Any SDTV that supports digital will continue chugging. My SDTV does not support digital and it may not be possible it will work except playing DVDs or video games.

A set-top-box such as Samsung High Definition Terrestrial Tuner will work with your SDTV, however you might want to do a research as this HD receiver only show menus and guide on component/HDMI.

Sorry I'm going off-topic as my post isn't related to VP-200. You still will get black bars on sides of the HDTV screen when using composite-/S-Video-equipped devices like VP-200.

The description on their site says: Samsung's Terrestrial Tuner brings you great flexibility in delivering free over-the-air digital television signals to a DTV-ready television or DTV-capable computer monitor. This device easily tunes and decodes all 18 ATSC Table 3 broadcast formats. It will not work on SDTVs that are not digital supported. As long it's digital TV, it will work. Just wanted to be sure. :)
