Ya. You can use wireless USB adapter from D-Link.

Right! Even some printer already have built in wireless adapter!

Both of my printers (I got two) sitting on networking, and do not connect directly to the PC! Very easy for me!!! Don't have to swap the cable if I wanted to print from one of my PC. I got 4 that is up and running. Networking on printer is cool!

Don't buy Server Print wired/wireless, it is not good becuase only old printer becuase call "Monitor Managerment". if you have print server and new printer, if problem "Jam Paper" or "low Ink", printer won't send you alert dialog box... better buy Printer bulti-in internal print server wired or wireless will send to computers Monitor Managerment show dialog box

I have Canon Color Printer with Monitor Manager say "low Ink" work to me with USB, I use print server with it, Monitor Managerment won't help me. I saw website speical monitor manager with print server yes but expenise, I remember few year ago

If your printer does not have wireless built-in so can get AirPort Express from Apple store or online. If it is support so plug USB in AirPort Express.

I know you have Apple laptop I think?

I got from Apple - AirPort Express

Have several computers in your home but only one printer? No problem. Just connect a printer to the USB port on the AirPort Express Base Station and the printer instantly becomes available to everyone on your wireless network.(6) No longer do you need to move your printer from one place to another to connect it to this or that computer. No more dealing with tangled cables or emailing files from one computer to another that’s connected to the printer.

Monitor Manager is not that big deal! You can do physical check the printer instead of waiting for stupid warning dialog to appear. Buying wireless USB is cost efficient than buying a new printer.

Right, no big deal and if plm printer there is printing tray on the taskbar, which would alert there is plm with printer anyway. I dont see point why can't go networking, most business do that, so what?

Yes, I have Apple Computer! I will look up on link that you gave me. Thanks for link. But what about Security? Did it have Security on Airport Express??

I have a Netgear WPGS606. I really like it, it has two usb ports, I have both my HP deskjet and my brother laserjet hooked up to it. Also it has a 4 port ethernet switch. The switch has been very useful! I have my wireless router in one room and can hook computers to the netgear with cables. I diddn't have to run ethernet cable all over my apartment and diddn't have to buy a wireless card for the other desktop.

It's fully compatible with OS X

Printing to the WGPS606 Wireless Print Server with Macintosh OS X 10.4.2

Most print servers are independent of the OS on your computer. As long as you have printer drivers for your operating system that's all that matters.

Since your printer is an HP you might want to buy a jetdirect box for it, but HP's jetdirect print servers are expensive.

I just noticed that your printer is an "all in one", keep in mind that if you set it up on a print server, you won't be able to use the scanner wirelessly, you'll still need to use a USB cable. (this is why i don't like all in one printers but that's just my opinion)

In my apartment, I have 2 printers, (a HP deskjet and a brother laser) connected to my netgear print server, and I have a scanner. I have 2 computers and a laptop. I can use the scanner on all three computers even though it's hooked only to one by using VNC, and I save all my scans on a network shared folder by default.

What you might want to do, is get an old computer (a PII with 128+mb of ram would be fine) and install windows on it, (if you get an old computer it will probably include winxp or win2k) Install your Printer/scanner to it, and connect the computer to your network. You can print to a windows shared printer from your mac (when setting it up select "windows printer via SAMBA") and you can use windows file sharing and VNC to control your scanner. You can probably get a suitable computer for about $100. After you get it set up you won't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse for it.

My HP printer have build-in wifi. I love it! You can connect to wireless router too!

The model's name and number is HP Deskjet 6840. You can even go ahead print when the printer is off. All you do is go to other room and turn it on then it will print!

Is there something that I can make Scanner and Printer work with Wirelessly? Because I would like do that.
