Shaffer F**ked up the NFL expansion process.And Didnt Give Irsay a New Stadium he wanted instead Shaffer spent over 100 million dollars to build baltimores harbor place and the maryland scince center.100 million dollars couild have been used to build irsay a New Stadium across the highway from Memorial Stadium and the Orioles could have still played in that place.Samething happend to Mayor Rondell White in Cleveland.He lied to Art Modell about promising him a new stadium for the Browns instead he used the money 600 million to build a new stadium for the indians a new arena for the cavs and a Stupid ROCK N ROLL Museum.And Nothing for Art Modell so he took his browns and Moved them to Baltimore. And guess what Clevelanders did? VOTE HIS RAT ASS RIGHT OUT OF OFFICE. Clevelanders might have the New Browns but theyre never gonna see a championship team again like they did in the old days,,Cause the Real Browns are in Baltimore,,Playing Real winning football!!!

This is one time when I'm coming to Buck's defense. Leave him be. He's what we call a "Snowbird" down here. He is a Maryland resident (or maybe, a FL res), who splits his time between two homes. It's quite common for people to spend the winter months here in FL, and the summer months up north.

I also was a snowbird for awhile myself before I became a fulltime FL resident. Incidently, I also grew up in Maryland.

I actually think I remember some of this. I will grant you this. Shaeffer was a massive fuck up, and like you, I'm glad the baffoon is out of office!

However, I think Maryland needed extra routes and stuff, but when it came to sports teams, he couldn't get shit done.

This probably has more to do with DC than Maryland, but I remember (somewhat) when the Redskins needed a new stadium. Cooke refused to build a stadium next to RFK. I think he went to Virginia, if I remember right? However, it didn't fly, so he ended up building a stadium IN MARYLAND.

I'm not gonna argue for a couple reasons. First, all that nonsense was probably built after I left Maryland. And, second, I happen to agree with you that Shaeffer was a fucktard.

Er...it was never that important to keep the Colts (sometimes known as the "Dolts") in Baltimore. It is just a sports team. It doesn't bring in revenue all year around...just mainly during Fall. People need to get a grip about sports...it is just one form of entertainment and not a necessity.

On the other hand, the Inner Harbor was one of the smartest things Baltimore ever did. It really revived the area and it is a happening place all year around!!! That is a winner for everybody. I had been there many times (it has been over a decade since I been there last) and it is really a nice place.
