Hi, I am back !!!!!!
I finally got a chance to watch the movie " United 93 "
This actually was a very good movie and the bounus features & the commentary of the families that lost their loved ones on Sept. 11th was very moving.
What makes this film so noteworthy is that this was the very first and probably the only Sept. 11th film where the families of the lost loved ones actually took a part in telling their side of the story and what surprised me was that there was no Hollywood drama. It was real as life in what happened in that film which was something that the families of the lost loved ones wanted and also people will see that they were not victims but survivors where another Sept. 11th films portray them as weak or has no will to fight back. This film really pieces together what happened on Sept. 11th through family interviews and the recordings, audio voice recordings that happened on Sept. 11th. You will see what happened on all sides, not one or two sides but all sides. Please do make sure to see the bonus features and the commentary with the subtitles turned on.
I am serious this is really a movie worth seeing and it actually moved me. It takes alots for somebody like me to be moved by something like that and This is something I would have in my DVD collection as well as share with my family but I think this movie is more suitable for kids who are 13-14 years old because there are alots of adult situations and I am thinking how would my nephews and nieces at various age groups like 8 years old 11 years old 13 years old react to this movie and I provided a very conservative estimate of the age appropriate group for this movie but it really is up to the parents to make that decision because this is a movie that will affect everybody, no matter who sees it and if somebody was not affected by this movie then something seriously is wrong here because this is a very moving movie.
I also think this movie on DVD should be a National Treasure in American History. I think this movie would be very good for school teachers and college teachers to show the students the movie then have a discussion about this film however, I think it would be best for the teachers to get parent's permission to allow their kids to watch this movie because strong emotions and adult situations are involved. There is no nudity or anything like that. It is a very intense film involving emotions that should belong to an adult and kids should not be exposed to these kinds of emotions unless they can handle an adult situation very maturely and respond appropriately to the movie and the situation itself too. This DVD really should be a National Treasure in our American History.
